CMC Group have focused our activity in the area of applying ICTs to health and healthcare sectors through Artica Telemedicine, SL, a company dedicated to the development of ICT solutions for health, devoted to provide to socio-health sector with tools based on information and communications technology to improve the quality of life of people and facilitate the work of the medical and scientific community.

Artica was created in 2003 as a spin-off of the Polytechnic University of Madrid, specifically from the Bioengineering and Telemedicine Group (BTG) of the Escuela Técnica Superior de Ingenieros de Telecomunicación (ETSIT), thanks to the experience of its promoters in that college.



Artica joins CMC Group in 2013 becoming the eHealth unit of the group with the aim of growing in the sector bringing together the innovativeness of the company with the power of a consolidated and ever expanding group.

We offer consulting and products development, services and turnkey projects in the fields of eHealth, mHealth, telemedicine and health 2.0.

Currently we concentrate our offer in the innovative application of techniques such as self-tracking, gamification, online coaching and mHeath to provide solutions to the market based on the control of chronics such as hypertensive, treatment adherence and promotion of healthy lifestyles.



We develop information systems tailored to digitize socio-health processes using Cloud technologies, intelligent decision support software, interoperability standards and collaborative tools that foster communication and information flows among patients, doctors, nurses, caregivers and socio-health professionals.


We use the power of mobile technologies and devices such as smartphones and tablets to enhance self-care, we develop apps on Android, iOS and HTML5 environments, deployed under BYOD strategies, which are able to send and integrate information in the electronic medical record of health professionals.


We apply technology to offer tele-medical solutions: tele-consultation, tele-rehabilitation, tele-monitoring, tele-diagnostics and tele-assistance, applying them to different medical specialties: dermatology, cardiology, pediatrics and ophthalmology.

Active ageing

We apply Ambient Assisted Living, Ageing Well and Accessibility technologies to help people in the process of growing old, encouraging personal autonomy and improving their life quality in pursuit of a healthy, participatory and safe aging.

Cronics management

We deploy ICT solutions for the management of chronic patients encouraging patient’s empowerment, and also adherence to therapies and treatments. We define disease monitoring automatic protocols, and use Health 2.0 techniques and social networks that facilitate self-care.

Prevention and healthy lifestyle

We use wearable devices, gamification techniques and online coaching to promote healthy lifestyle (healthy diet, exercise, sleep management, stress control, etc.) enhancing Self Tracking or “Quantified Self” actions that allow us to perform preventive public health actions.
